J2-DRY DESICCANT BAGS FOR CONTAINERS

One of the main grounds for claims against freight transported in shipping containers is the humidity that is created inside the container, the so-called "rain effect".

The combination of humidity in the air and moisture from packaging tends to create a tropical microclimate, and water vapor can penetrate the packages being shipped. This process forms condensation which then dries out. This process can be repeated several times throughout the journey, and can end up damaging the freight. It is vital that the formation of condensation inside the container is prevented in order to protect and preserve the quality of the freight being exported.

Desiccants should be placed outside the packaging, either by hanging or placing them on the pallets. In this way, they can absorb the condensation formed inside the containers, by the so-called “rain effect”, and will protect the packaging and products from possible damage, such as corrosion and damp.
